What is here
Roman Catholic churches in England, Wales and Scotland, and only those: Great Britain, not the whole of the United Kingdom. For each church we hold the address and, where the church or its diocese publishes them, the Mass times, the phone number, the email address and the website. 3,073 carry a postcode. 3,120 have coordinates and appear on a map. 0 have a written account of the building and its history.
Great Britain has 33 Catholic jurisdictions: the territorial dioceses of England, Wales and Scotland, the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, the Bishopric of the Forces, and the Ukrainian and Syro-Malabar eparchies. 31 of them have a page of their own here; the rest are listed once we hold enough of their churches to make a page worth reading. Where a church belongs to an Eastern Catholic Church or to the Ordinariate, its page says so.
Where the times come from
Every time on this site was published by the church or its diocese: a parish website, a diocesan parish finder, a newsletter. Nothing is inferred, estimated or carried over from another church in the same parish. Where a source's own wording carries meaning, such as (Polish) or (Extraordinary Form), we keep the wording rather than reducing it to a clock.
On 32 church pages the sentence we read the times from is quoted underneath them, with the site it came from named and the date we read it. That is there so you can judge for yourself: a schedule reduced to fields loses the qualifiers a parish writes around it, and the quote gives them back. The date matters more here than it would elsewhere — British Mass times change often, and a time we read two years ago is a time worth checking.
What is missing
A blank is not a claim that a church has no Mass. It means we have not found one published anywhere we can cite. The gaps are uneven and worth knowing about before you rely on one:

The county and council-area boundaries this site sorts churches into are the ONS Counties and Unitary Authorities boundaries, with one district boundary taken from OS Open Boundary-Line — Stockton-on-Tees is the one district in Great Britain still divided between two ceremonial counties, and the Tees is where it divides. Both are from the same portal and under the same licence:

Where a church's description draws on a statutory listing, it comes from Historic England, Historic Environment Scotland or Cadw, again under the Open Government Licence v3.0, and the church's own page names which one, links the listing and says that we summarised it. Cadw's material is Crown copyright, Welsh Government.
Photographs are credited individually beneath each one, with the photographer and the licence they published under.
What we do not do
We do not carry seasonal schedules. Christmas, Holy Week and the holy days of obligation are announced by each parish a week or two beforehand and change from year to year, and a stale one is worse than none, so we hold the ordinary weekly schedule and point at where each parish publishes the rest. We do not name current clergy in our own prose, because it changes without notice and we have no way to check it. We do not reproduce text from Taking Stock, whose terms do not permit it; where a church has an entry there we link to it instead.
Corrections
If a time here is wrong, or a church is missing, or something reads as though written by somebody who does not know the subject, we want to hear about it. Tell us and we will fix it. Corrections about a specific church are most useful with a link to where the correct information is published.
